A FEW SUCCESS STORIES

Baby M.

Danny M.’s 2-year-old son was abducted by his non-custodial mother in 1997. The only information available was the mother’s alias.

Armed with this fragmentary piece of information, we undertook a systematic search of every club in Los Angeles, eventually locating both the child’s mother and the location where the child had been taken.

After Cris obtained an emergency court order for Baby M.’s return, he was rescued and return to his father and grandmother.

Today having graduated from high school and pursued higher education Baby M. is a healthy, happy, and productive adult.

F.B. and E.B.

F.B. was only 9 months old and brother E.B. was five when their mother took them from their home in Australia to the United States and disappeared. After the issuance of a warrant for her arrest, the mother became one of Montana’s most-wanted fugitives. Still, the children could not be found.

We began to search for Faith and Eli in June 2010. After intense background searches, a random deposit receipt for a 10-year-old savings account led us eventually to the hiding place for F.B. and E.B. in rural North Dakota.

With our private investigators holding a perimeter, the FBI and local law enforcement then rescued F.B. and E.B. We then assisted with the complex international regulations to bring them home to Australia, where they are thriving today.

Justice

During a 2010 custodial visit in South Carolina, five-year-old Justice’s father took him and disappeared.

In February 2012, we searched for Justice, who by then was 7 years old. Within three months, we found Justice’s father, who was hiding in North Dakota. We assisted Justice’s mother in obtaining extra-jurisdictional warrants ordering Justice’s return.

Assisted by Avis and an airline partner, we made it possible for Justice’s mother to travel to North Dakota in person to get her son.

Justice is now 18 years old and has offered to pay it forward and help find other missing children.

Teen C.

Teen C. was only 14 when she began a relationship with an older man. Although the man was charged with crimes against Teen C., he was released, and on the very same day, he stole a car and transported her to Mexico. Neither the teen’s mother nor the FBI could locate them.

In 2011, four years after the teen vanished, her mother asked Cris to search for her, whose case had become well-known after it was featured on the Nancy Grace Show. Suspecting the abductor’s family was assisting him, Cris sued his California-based family for Aiding and Abetting Interference with Custodial Relations.

A few days later, the abductor called from a remote part of Mexico to turn himself in. Cris worked with the FBI to retrieve the teen.

The man was arrested and sentenced to state prison.

The Find Project began work New Years Day, 2022. The Find Project and California Advocates for the Missing launched a media campaign, put up billboards, worked with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and assembled volunteers for a physical search.

On January 21, we located C. D.’s vehicle at Los Angeles International Airport.

Her Celebration of Life was held on February 18, 2022.
